Two Piano-Trained Musicians Meet on a Big Room Record Built Around a Sung Melody

JOYFIRE released the Twilight single with Christine Elise on 2 October 2026, and four weeks later it already leads the popular list on his Spotify page. The New York-area producer wrote the words and the music himself. Christine Elise, a classically trained harpist, pianist and singer, carries the melody over a Big Room drop.

JOYFIRE’s Twilight with Christine Elise is in the playlist below, and his full run of coverage sits on the JOYFIRE profile. The single came to MusicDrops.News through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news titles. Give it a listen, then keep reading for how the song came together.

Twilight Leads the JOYFIRE Spotify Page Four Weeks After Its Release on Quantum Flow Records

The numbers on 30 October tell the story of the moment. Twilight sits first in the JOYFIRE popular list at 8,938 plays. That puts it above My Favorite Song (Radio Mix), still his most-played track at 133,362, and Give Me Your Heart with ALESSA.A at 64,560.

The list follows recent listening, so a new single can lead it before it catches the older numbers. For a page with 5,954 monthly listeners, that puts Twilight at the front within a month.

The video arrived first. JOYFIRE posted it on his YouTube channel on 23 September, nine days before the single reached streaming services through Quantum Flow Records.

Christine Elise Brings Four Times the Monthly Listeners and a Classical Training

Christine Elise arrives with a bigger audience than the producer she sings for. Her Spotify page shows 25,289 monthly listeners, about four times the JOYFIRE figure. Her most-played song, Light Wave with Kuf Knotz, has passed 295,000 plays.

In fact, her training runs deep. She is a classically trained harpist, pianist and vocalist. She took a Bachelor of Music in 2012 and a master’s degree in music therapy at Immaculata University in 2015. Today she teaches in that same music therapy department, and her first album, Higher Grounds, came out in 2018.

That background matters here, because two pianists made this record and one of them is also a trained singer.

JOYFIRE Wrote the Words and Music of Twilight and Built the Single Around Christine Elise and a Big Room Drop

Twilight comes in two versions. The full mix runs to 3:49, and the radio edit cuts it to 2:47, a full minute shorter for playlists and radio.

Meanwhile, the credits keep the writing in one place. Paul Gregory Armento, the man behind JOYFIRE, is the lyricist and the composer, and he is credited as its producer. Christine Elise is credited with the vocal.

The sound follows a rule JOYFIRE set for himself. He played piano and worked as a musician before he fell for dance music. By his own account, his early tracks were too musical for the genre. So he moved towards big drops with Big Room techno in them.

However, Big Room tracks usually lean on simple melodies and plain harmony. His answer is to put booming bass and kick under melodies that people can sing, switching between major and minor keys. Twilight hands that melody to a trained voice, while the low end does the mainstage work.

His own path explains the instinct. Before JOYFIRE, Armento earned a living playing keys, bass and singing in tribute bands. He also studied songwriting in the BMI Advanced Musical Theatre Workshop. Twilight is a song first and a drop second.

From the MusicDrops.News curator team: “Twilight sits fifth in our Electronic, Dance, House playlist, straight after salute’s check check and Sammy Virji’s If U Need It. It is the most mainstage record in that run, and it is the one we would play to anyone who thinks Big Room has no room for a real voice.”

Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta Show What a Song-First Big Room Record Can Do

The question Twilight answers is an old one in big dance music: what happens when a real song sits on top of the drop? For example, two famous records give a sense of the scale.

Swedish House Mafia took Don’t You Worry Child from a songwriters’ demo. John Martin and Michel Zitron wrote it in Stockholm in May 2010 for an electro-pop duo of their own. That December, the demo reached Sebastian Ingrosso. In 2012 it became the group’s farewell single, and it then entered the UK chart at number one, selling 135,000 copies in its first week.

David Guetta showed how much the choice of singer decides. Titanium, written by Guetta, Sia, Giorgio Tuinfort and Afrojack, first leaked with a vocal from Mary J. Blige. With Sia singing, it became Guetta’s fifth UK number one in 2011 and her first.

Twilight makes the same bet on a smaller stage. JOYFIRE wrote the song and Christine Elise sings it; the scale is smaller, but the method is the same.

Start with the full mix of Twilight, then play the radio edit to hear how much of the song survives in under three minutes.
