Out Now: Love 2 Love You by Pearl Project, From a Poem Kept in a Notebook
Sung by Megan Demarais, the Stampersgat Single Has Been Followed by a New Release Every Few Weeks
Love 2 Love You by Pearl Project arrived on 10 October 2025. It is a four-minute alternative pop single from Stampersgat in the Netherlands. What makes it worth a first listen is where the words came from. They began as a poem that its writer, Marc Denys, kept to himself for years.
Pearl Project’s single is in the playlist below, and its coverage history sits on the Pearl Project artist profile. Love 2 Love You came to this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news desks. Press play, then keep reading for where the song came from.

Before Love 2 Love You Was a Song, It Was a Poem Marc Denys Kept in a Notebook
Pearl Project is the musical project Denys runs from Stampersgat, a village in Noord-Brabant. The first singles arrived in 2023. After a quiet 2024, the releases picked up again in August 2025, and Love 2 Love You came out in the middle of that run.
However, the song started long before the music did. Denys wrote the text as a private poem during the hardest period of his life. Writing it helped him through, and then he put it away.
Years later he found it again in an old notebook. What it brought back was the memory of coming out of the dark, not of the dark itself. So he decided to turn it into a song.

A Deliberately Plain Home Recording Leaves Room for the Voice and Keeps the Focus on the Words
The record does not dress the poem up. Italy’s Artisti Online described the production as deliberately plain, recorded at home, with instrumentation kept minimal and spare. In its view, the warmth comes from that rawness rather than from polish.
That space is there for the voice. Singer Megan Demarais carries the melody. According to the same review, Pearl Project spent years looking for that kind of voice before finding hers.
Meanwhile, the lyric runs from pain to recovery. It goes through the dark rather than around it, and closes on hope and healing through love. Above all, its promise is simple: the light can be found again.
At four minutes and sixteen seconds, the single takes its time. For that reason it suits listeners who like their alternative pop hopeful rather than bleak. Fans of the stripped, bedroom end of lofi pop should start here too.

Early Round-Ups Picked It Up Fast, and Its Spare Sound Sits Beside London Grammar and Beach House
It found listeners quickly. By mid-November it had turned up in the Daily Discovery round-up at InspotMusic. The Hot New Songs blog also picked it up and filed it under lofi pop. After that, Artisti Online’s review followed on 25 November.
The lineage is easy to place. London Grammar built their debut around one voice and spare arrangements. Love 2 Love You works on the same principle, with the singer carrying the weight.
Similarly, Beach House recorded their 2006 debut on a four-track in Alex Scally’s basement over two days. In the same way, Pearl Project’s home recording leans on warmth over gloss.
From the MusicDrops.News Curator Team: “This one arrives quietly and stays. It starts with a poem that was never meant to be read and a singer the project waited years for. The recording trusts both of them enough to stay out of the way.”
After Love 2 Love You Came a Single Every Few Weeks, With Women Empowerment Due on New Year’s Day
Love 2 Love You was not a one-off. Since October 2025 Pearl Project has released a new single every few weeks. Your Loving Grace came in January 2026 and Gift Of Being Grateful in March. Then Love Delicious and Awesome Day followed in May.
The next date is already set, too. Apple Music lists Women Empowerment for release on 1 January 2027. So the project opens the new year with another single.
For listeners arriving now, though, Love 2 Love You is the right place to start. It sums up the whole outlook: write from the hardest place, record without fuss and point to the light.
