British Pop Ballads Worth Hearing: ShaneyB Tells Keep Standing Three Ways, Solo, Duet and Pop
The Founder of SB Records Follows a 17-Track Debut with One Song Told Three Ways
ShaneyB released Keep Standing on 12 October 2026 through SB Records, an independent pop ballad in three versions: Solo, Duet and Pop. All three tell the same story, about getting back up after life knocks you down.
ShaneyB’s Keep Standing now sits on our pop playlist, in its Pop Version, and ShaneyB’s artist profile collects the coverage. The single came to this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news titles. Press play, then read on for where the three versions came from.

Before Keep Standing, ShaneyB Spent Years Inside Other People’s Music
ShaneyB is a British artist, and music ran through every chapter of the story long before the first original song. It started with school discos, then dancing, performing, clubs and nightlife, and eventually DJing.
For years, that meant playing other people’s records. Later came the step to writing original songs, and SB Records was set up as the independent home for them.
The first result was First Edition, a 17-track debut album released on 1 September 2026. Its songs deal with relationships, friendships and loss, and with chosen family: the people who stand beside you through the highs and the lows.
The label does not tie a song to one genre. Pop, rock, electronic and cinematic influences sit side by side, and each song is left to find its own sound.

Keep Standing Gives ShaneyB a Pop Ballad in Three Versions, Solo, Duet and Pop
Keep Standing is about what happens after a fall. In this song, moving forward does not mean having everything worked out. Sometimes it only means getting through one more day and refusing to stay down.
ShaneyB, credited as Shane Wilson, wrote the words and the music and produced the record. On ShaneyB’s releases that usually means backing vocals across the music, with a step forward to the lead vocal when a song calls for it.
In practice, the three versions change the light on the same story. The Solo Version runs to four minutes and 32 seconds and keeps the song close. The Duet Version stretches past five minutes and splits the story between two voices.
Then the Pop Version, at five minutes and 17 seconds the longest of the three, gives the ballad a polished contemporary pop arrangement. Even so, it keeps the emotional core of the original intact.

One song in more than one version has changed a record’s fortunes before. Ed Sheeran‘s Perfect first peaked at number four in the UK in March 2017. After the Duet version with Beyoncé came out, it went to number one in December 2017.
Similarly, the route from DJ to singer has a famous British example. Calvin Harris made his debut album, I Created Disco, in Dumfries, Scotland, on an Amiga computer, and he sang, played and produced it himself. ShaneyB has taken a similar step from the decks to the microphone, on an independent label of the artist’s own.
MusicDrops.News’s curator team: “Three versions of one ballad could have felt like padding. Instead each version shows a different side of the same promise, and the Pop Version is the one to play first if you want the song at full size.”
What Comes Next for ShaneyB After Keep Standing, From Breath to the Eclipse EP
SB Records already has the next chapters lined up. Breath is a song built on three words, love, trust and honesty, about two people trying to build something real together. On Instagram it is already being teased as Breathe, with love and trust on its artwork.
After that comes Eclipse: We All Rise, a six-track EP. It deals with hope, connection and strength, and with the idea that a darker stretch of life does not mean the light has gone.
So Keep Standing sits in the middle of a planned run. The debut album set out the people and places behind the music, this single deals with the fall, and the EP points towards getting back up.
Above all, the release suits listeners who like a big pop ballad with a story about resilience. It also suits anyone curious about how one song can change from one arrangement to the next, and curators in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada looking for new independent pop.
