BiONYK Releases Instead of Wishing, One of More Than 90 Since May 2024
An Independent Hip-Hop Writer and Producer Keeps a Near-Weekly Release Pace Into Autumn 2026
Instead of Wishing is out now. BiONYK released the single on 24 September 2026, and it runs to three minutes and thirty-eight seconds. The detail worth noting is the catalogue behind it: more than 90 releases on Apple Music since May 2024, most of them singles, most of them a week or two apart.
BiONYK is in the playlist below with Instead of Wishing, and the BiONYK profile tracks the coverage of a very busy catalogue. The single reached us through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news sites. Queue it up, then carry on reading.

More Than Two Years of Near-Weekly Releases Before Instead of Wishing
The run starts on 22 May 2024 with The Lights. Three more singles followed three days later, and the pace barely dropped after that. By September 2024 there were singles such as LET it GO, Labyrinth and Missed Calls, all out on the same day.
The habit grew in 2025. On 27 March alone, six singles went up at once. The summer brought Stars Above Us, DEDiCATE and a special anniversary edition of The Lights. Autumn brought a single most weeks, from Airplane Mode to Ghostly Lanes and Torture Chamber. Counted by year, that is 14 releases in 2024, 44 in 2025 and 36 so far in 2026.
The collaborations run through it too. CJ SQUiRE appears on PLAN, K and Switch Up, ZerZer on Kool Katzz and How The Story Ends, and YungPlush on Couple’s Therapy. Most of the catalogue now carries the A.M. ENtertainment name on its copyright line.
The titles are part of the signature. Stylised capitals turn up again and again, as in yoU’Re a jOKe! and iNViNCiBLE. In July 2026 one single arrived with a title more than twenty words long, a sequel to an unwritten song. On Spotify, the remastered yoU’Re a jOKe! currently leads the artist page.

Instead of Wishing Is a BiONYK Single Built With Two Beatmakers and One Lyricist
The name is pronounced bionic, and the Instagram bio explains the rest. It lists more than fourteen years of recording, writing, designing and producing. Then it gives the reason in two short lines: create to help yourself, share to help others.
The credits on the new single show how a song gets made at this pace. Jakub T Hastings holds the lyricist credit. BiONYK holds the studio personnel credit. The credits also name two beatmakers: Prod. Gwen-Doh’LiT and d0p351ck productionZzz. So the beats come from outside producers, while the lyric and studio credits sit with Jakub T Hastings and BiONYK.
The title fits the bio. Instead of wishing, you make the thing. For an artist who has put out a song most weeks for more than two years, that is less a slogan than a work schedule.
Independent volume has a long history in rap. Curren$y built a career on releasing several projects a year through his own Jet Life label, so fans always had something new. Tech N9ne went further, co-founding Strange Music in 1999 and turning a steady stream of releases into an independent business. BiONYK works on a smaller scale, but the logic is the same: keep releasing, and let listeners find the catalogue.

What Comes Next for BiONYK After Instead of Wishing, With Four More Singles in October
The answer is already out. Moving Day (Family 2 Me) followed on 7 October. Then came STFU with YungPlush on 12 October and October Before Last Freestyle on 14 October. R3D 5K135 closed the month on 31 October. That is four singles in a single month, close to one a week, the same rhythm as the rest of the year.
That freestyle title has a history of its own. A year earlier, BiONYK released Last October Freestyle, so the new one reads like the second entry in an annual habit. Two weeks before it, there was also Threshold, a release with Syphoniel and Vi.
The single is for listeners who like independent rap in steady supply, and for anyone who wants to start a deep catalogue somewhere recent. Start here, then work backwards.
MusicDrops.News’s curator team: “Play Instead of Wishing, then Threshold from two weeks earlier. One is a BiONYK single with outside beats, the other a collaboration on another label, and together they show how wide the catalogue has become.”
