A Nigerian Rapper Turns His Hustle Into a Checklist, in Igbo and English

No-More went up on the YouTube channel of chibuiQ on 30 August 2026. It is an Igbo drill single, and it works like a list. The rapper, from Jos, Nigeria, names what he is finished with and answers each item with the title. It came 13 days after his first official track, and it is the clearest sign yet of where his career is heading.

Watch the video and check the artist’s YouTube channel for more.

chibuiQ’s No-More is the second single of his first year of releases, and the one that gave him a hook; his coverage is collected on his artist profile. PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news titles, brought No-More to MusicDrops.News. Press play, then keep reading for the list and where it leads.

Before No-More, chibuiQ Rapped for a Long Time and Then Put Out Time Will Tell in August

The story starts well before either song, though. chibuiQ was writing and rapping long before his first release. His family roots are in Anambra State, in the south-east of the country. He raps in Igbo and English and calls his style Igbo drill. He also has a signature tag, “Nwaa”, that he treats as part of his name. His YouTube handle carries it too.

Then, in 2026, he began releasing music officially. Time Will Tell came first, on 17 August. It runs two minutes and 21 seconds, and its title is a promise about patience. He makes the records with the producer M. Chris.

No-More Opens on chibuiQ’s Nwaa Tag and Counts Off What He Is Done With

Then came No-More, at two minutes and 40 seconds a little longer than the first. It opens on that tag: a hum, a long, stretched “Nwaa”, then his own name. Before he names a single item, he sets up the device. Three times over, he tells the listener that he has a list.

The first verse runs through it in lines that switch between Igbo and English. His grades are up and the old habits are in the past. He also names the source of the turnaround straight away. “Amaghi how, but I know who,” he raps, mixing Igbo and English: “I don’t know how, but I know who”. The who is Chukwu, God. One line sums up the attitude: “Yes to making money and no to making noise.”

The No-More Hook and a Second Verse That Looks Ahead

The hook is where the title does its work. Financial struggles, lazy muscles, fighting: he calls out each one, and each gets the same two-word reply. It is a confident way to build a hook, because the listener knows the answer before he gives it.

The second verse looks forward. He is on the rise, with his eyes on the prize. He even has a plan to work as a forex broker, trading on his own device. Then he sets the money talk against an old Igbo saying, “Ezi aha ka ego”. It means a good name is worth more than money. The closing lines turn to the future. His past follows him, the future gets a salute, and the goal, he raps, is just ahead.

The YouTube description for No-More calls it “igbo drill”, nothing more. On 10 September both songs went up on SoundCloud. Short drill clips followed on YouTube through early September.

What Comes After No-More for chibuiQ, From a Lyric Video to a Wider Igbo Drill Stage

So what comes next? In the weeks after No-More, chibuiQ kept his debut moving too. An official lyric video for it followed on 28 September. He also opened an X account that month to point people at both songs. In October, Britishhiphop.co.uk posted the No-More audio and a full biography, and Dopetrackz ran a profile he wrote himself.

That profile sets out the aim. He wants to put Igbo drill on a wider stage. He also wants to show other young people chasing a dream that they can start with what they have. Still, he is doing it without a label: his own site lists him as independent, “for now”.

Jeriq and Odumodublvck Show Where an Igbo Drill Rapper Can Go Next

Others have walked the route he describes. Jeriq makes music that draws on his Igbo heritage. His 2020 EP Hood Boy Dream led to a deal with KOD Music that same year. His debut album, Billion Dollar Dream, followed in 2022. It earned a Best Rap Album nomination at The Headies in 2023. So a short, focused release moved him from independent to signed. chibuiQ has two singles out and no label yet, so that step is still ahead of him.

Odumodublvck shows how far a drill record from Nigeria can travel. The Abuja-based rapper released Declan Rice in March 2023. Within days it gave him his first top-ten entry on Nigeria’s official Top 100, at No. 8. Def Jam signed him later that year, with the EZIOKWU mixtape. He also made a look part of the music: the Okpu Agu hat that warriors traditionally wear in Igboland. chibuiQ’s “Nwaa” tag does a similar job on a smaller scale, because it marks the songs as his.

chibuiQ is at the very start of that road. Still, his second Igbo drill single gives him what both careers started with. It has a hook people can repeat, in a language that tells you where he comes from. He has written down what he is leaving behind. What goes on the next list, as his first single put it, time will tell.

From the MusicDrops.News curator team: “We counted the title 24 times in the lyric of No-More on his website. It still lands, because every time it answers a different line. Two songs in, chibuiQ already has a signature and a hook shape he can build a catalogue on.”
